Trash Services

The City of Macon is serviced by Waste Management. All residents within city limits are billed for trash through their monthly utility bill.  You can find Macon's Services Days as well as observed holidays with the picture above or the attachment below. As a reminder, routes will be pushed back by one day following a holiday. For example, if Christmas Day is Tuesday and your normal service day is Wednesday, you will be serviced on Thursday. Customers who are normally serviced on Friday of that week will be serviced on Saturday. If a holiday falls on a weekend, there will be no delay of service. 

Normal hours of collection are to be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Exceptions may be made only when the Contractor (Waste Management) has reasonably determined that an exception is necessary to complete collection of an existing route due to unusual circumstances or upon the mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.

In the event that a regularly scheduled collection is missed, please call City Hall to reschedule missed collection.
