Historic Round House Community Room

Located within Blees Park, 1402 S Missouri Street, Building D, the historic Round House was originally a lakeside dance pavilion constructed on the grounds of the Blees Military Academy.

The Round House is open year-round and is available for weddings, family reunions, birthday parties, and meetings.  The facility has an indoor bathroom, central heat and air-conditioning, a kitchen style counter with a sink and garbage disposal.  There is also a full-size refrigerator and tables (8 ft rectangle) and chairs.

Fire Code limits occupancy to 49 people. 

Outside is a picnic-site BBQ grill and fire pit. Blees Park playground and Blees Lake are immediately adjacent to the Round House site. 

The rental fee is $100 per day with a $100 deposit.  The deposit is due one week from the date you make your reservation.  A hold-harmless rental agreement must be completed the day of your rental (or on Friday if your date is on the weekend) and the $100 fee paid. Round House Keys can be obtained at City Hall, once rent is paid, (returned to City Hall as well) as the Police Department is no longer open on weekends.

The reserving of the Round House is handled through the City Clerk’s office at City Hall.  Please call 660-385-6421 to make your reservation.  No political or Fundraising/Selling activities permitted.
